Tasting - Opera Prima Moscato
Name: Opera Prima Moscato
Variety: Sparkling Pink Moscato
Region:
Country: Spain
Year:
Price: $5.95
Winery Review: This is an amazing value for an inexpernsive Moscato sparkler that is great for many occasions. Its bright fruit aromas of lychee and lime are appealing and the flavors of honeydew, lime and lychee are delightful. Great for cake or fruit based desserts.
My review: Very good. Super easy to drink, almost tastes like soda. Very sugary and the carbonation was a great additional element. Not much on the nose because of the carbonation, hinted at sort of a rubbery smell with some drywall and fruit. The taste was delicious with a full range of flavors with an initial melon taste that went to lime. I enjoyed this wine and purchased a bottle.
I tasted this on its own with no food. I had just ate some gouda and that may have affected my tasting.
