Winery Review: 87 Points, Stephen Tanzer
Medium red. Aromas of redcurrant and cherry, plus a hint of dried rose. Fleshy and smooth, with moderate depth to its slightly bitter red fruit flavors. Finishes with decent breath and grip, with the redcurrant element joined by a hint of white pepper.
My review: Very strong smell of rose and fruit. I expected this to be a very full bodied wine but it was more medium as the review suggested. It was moderately dry and tannic. Somewhat of a bitter taste that left my tongue dry. This would be a good wine to drink with a meal.
I tasted this on its own with no food. I had just ate some gouda and that may have affected my tasting.
